T
he ultimate moment is the presence of spirit, to be in dialogue with the ancestral, natural and cosmic presences that surround us. It moves between space, body and subconscious. To feel the unseen.

This series expands upon the sensibilities of sublimity and sacredness experienced within space. Rooted in precolonial Filipinx elemental thought: all beings are extensions of others, nature and the cosmos, Figures of Intuition acknowledges the transcendental effects that nature has on us. In such moments, when nature holds a mirror up to us, we are confronted with ourselves, our deepest desires and fears. These figures in space are familiar to us, in their own distinct and nuanced essence. Wandering amongst them is as if we found ourself within a forest, trees magnificent before us; or a desert, cacti joyful in the sun. These figures are celestial beings, defining a new landscape to move through. We wander and admire the strange yet perfect beauty that stands before us. In each figure, we get lost in their familiarity, and they become a mirror to ourselves. We deepen into our subconscious, transforming us to highest transcendence. Within ourselves and the other figures hold nothing more or nothing less than the entire universe.
